Keeping water in the pool helps minimize the effects that significant temperature fluctuations may have on its structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Keeping Your Pool in Operation During Winter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you choose to keep your pool in operation, it does not need to run as intensively as it does during the summer months. However, regular water and equipment checks remain essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For winter pool maintenance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Set the pump to operate for approximately <strong>4 hours per day<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the <strong>water\u2019s chemical balance every 15 days<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean the <strong>filter and pre-filter every 15 days<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continue adding the necessary pool chemicals according to the recommended dosages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following these steps helps keep both the pool water and equipment in good condition throughout the period of reduced use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Taking Your Pool Out of Operation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the pool will not be used at all during the winter, it can be taken out of operation. In this case, it is important to follow the correct winterization procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Water Preparation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adjust the <strong>pH level to 6.8<\/strong> to help slow down the formation of deposits and algae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, lower the water level by approximately <strong>20\u201325 cm<\/strong>, leaving sufficient capacity for winter rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cleaning the Pool<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before closing the pool, clean it thoroughly, paying particular attention to the <strong>waterline<\/strong>, where dirt and deposits tend to accumulate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shutting Down and Protecting the Equipment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turn the main switch to the <strong>OFF position<\/strong> and switch off the corresponding circuit breakers on the electrical panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Close all <strong>inlet and outlet valves<\/strong>, properly disconnect the pump and store it in a dry, protected area.
